Competent Care was conceived by a group of women raising their children and caring for their parents at the same time.  It was built on the old-world concept of the "golden rule" and respect for all ages and disabilities.   This concept is still our guide and cornerstone. They brought a knowledge of caring for others, especially the  senior generation of their families, and a sensitivity to the needs of the community around them.  From the beginning the focus was on providing a personal, responsive, compassionate, and more than "competent" care to those they served.   It continues with the same tradition and values of "personal" care at its finest.
